for some reason, when I copy large files (90gb in this example) over the internal network (from server to server) the whole internet cuts out - no idea why this is. It doesn't make sense at all as it should be going through the internal network thus not affecting the external connection. Instead of having to download the large file over and over again from the beginning, downloads would restart from where the previous download stopped (with a little overhead). Download managers may support additional features such as download acceleration, scheduling, or grabbing of media. Don't know what they did, but it looks like now Steam's downloads have the capability of taking % of your bandwidth effectively killing your ability to do much of anything internet wise until it finishes downloading.
