Downloaded file opens tab with wrong title

A few details: The documents in the site in downloading from has always used microsoft word documents, which I've always been able to Missing: tab.


I found on a iMac, you must open the Word document first and go into File Properties Summary and you can edit the name of the Title and Author of the document there. Re-save the Word document. Open File Properties, then in the box labeled 'Title', add your title. Click on the 'Initial View' tab, where it says Show: make sure the drop down says 'Document Title' instead of 'File Name'. This works for Chrome, but sadly not IE yet.


Right-click the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen and select Control Panel. Click Default Programs. If you do not see it, use the search box in the upper-right corner of the window to search for Default Programs. Click Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
